EMBROIDERY

At James Hillman, we have twelve years of experience working with specialists in the embroidery area. A trims specialist, Seab, who works closely with luxury brands such as Gucci based in Italy, was so impressed with James’ skills and knowledge that he represents their brand as their official London partner.

We can assist with all your embroidery needs, including the full process of embroidery design and development. We are proud to work alongside our clients to develop new techniques, as well as draw on inspiration from traditional ideas and techniques. From sourcing to pattern cutting and sampling our global team can ensure your end product is of the highest quality possible within the price point restraints of the product.

Below you will find examples of our embroidery work, as well as our featured case study.

The Brand Story

Mira Mikati is a luxury brand that epitomises fun. Its designs embody optimism and positivity, and are positively striking using an array of bold, bright colours and images bound to raise a smile.

Mira Mikati contacted James Hillman to assist with a new concept: The Los Angeles Beach and Skate Scene. Notably, Mira and her team wanted to capture the essence and bohemian atmosphere of Venice Beach, a place that is adorned in bright sunlight, retro colours and is highly regarded as a spot for relaxation, leisure and fun.

To bring Mira Mikati’s artists' designs to life, they needed our embroidery expertise to transform the unique drawings into badges and patches. An important feature of this process for us was to not compromise on the artist's design, or lose any of the art in the scaling down of the embroidery. So, we used high quality materials, tools, careful stitches, as well as every ounce of our expertise to make the transformation look seamless.

The results were these incredibly beautiful produced pieces that were artwork in their own right. We loved bringing to life such unique drawings using an array of colours that would shout Venice Beach to anyone wearing or viewing the garments. The assortment of rainbow colours, as well as the ocean scape of pastel blues and bright reds makes the badges and patches a centrepiece of the products and epitomises the playful nature of the brands identity.

We were thrilled to work alongside Mira Mikati on these designs and were even prouder to know that each item we worked on officially sold out.
